There is a family we have the opportunity to provide a sub-for-santa for. It is a single mother who has adopted 11 children, 9 of which are special needs. With State, family and neighbors she is able to be a stay-at-home mother and care for the needs of her children. For those of you who had ever had the opportunity to care for a special need's child you can only imagine what she faces each day. The mother has provided a Christmas wish list for her children. She has included one necessity and one want. If you would like to participate please wrap the gift and identify the age and sex the present is for. Please have your child sign, From Santa. The list is provided and items will be marked off as they are purchased. This activity is optional. If you are unable to give a gift, one will be provided for your child. Everyone will get to be Santa

We had the honor of having a Captain in the army come and talk to us about our class motto, "No Buddy Left Behind." He told us their are four important steps in the army that all soldiers must abide by. Step one; always place the mission first. Our class mission is learning. Step two; never admit defeat. Step three; never give up. Step four; never leave anyone behind. He told us we are to use these same principals in our class. We are never to give up when things get hard. We are to make sure our class buddies are learning. If they need help of any kind we are to pull together as a class and help them succeed.

There are two very important girls in our class. They are very special to us. Everyday they make our classroom happy place to be.
Look at the fancy new glasses. Now we have two girls that can see perfectly!
We are in the middle of writing our Christmas wish list to Santa. We are are going to mail them to him and wait patiently until he writes back. Christmas is so much fun!
Our new class pet is huge. She is a crazy web maker. Her cage is covered in spooky looking webs. How fun is that.
We have run to Cove Fort. That means we have run 200 miles. Wow! We are awesome!
How fun are your gifts? They are the best kind of fun. Reading books for our classroom! Thanks!
Yummy! Treats to feed my tummy while we have Parent Teacher Conferences!

The
Giving Tree
At the age of
seven
and eight many of the magically things in life are
questioned. One of them is being “Is Santa real?” In class we
have been talking about the qualities of Santa. The students identified him as being generous and
kind.
They said he gives presents to them and the only thing Santa asks for in return
is that everyone
be nice.
In our classroom we have a Giving Tree. The
students are going to have the opportunity to be just like Santa. I have a
friend that is serving an LDS mission in Salt Lake. They have given me the
needs of two inter-city families that are in need of a Christmas. I will
be providing a list of items your child may bring to school for our class Sub-for–Santa. Please wrap
the gift and identify the age and sex the present
is for. Please have your child sign, From Santa. The list of
needs will be posted on our blog and I will mark off items as they are
purchased. This activity is optional. If you are unable to give a gift,
one will
be provided for your child to give. Everyone
will get to be Santa!
