The
Giving Tree
At the age of
seven
and eight many of the magically things in life are
questioned. One of them is being “Is Santa real?” In class we
have been talking about the qualities of Santa. The students identified him as being generous and
kind.
They said he gives presents to them and the only thing Santa asks for in return
is that everyone
be nice.
In our classroom we have a Giving Tree. The
students are going to have the opportunity to be just like Santa. I have a
friend that is serving an LDS mission in Salt Lake. They have given me the
needs of two inter-city families that are in need of a Christmas. I will
be providing a list of items your child may bring to school for our class Sub-for–Santa. Please wrap
the gift and identify the age and sex the present
is for. Please have your child sign, From Santa. The list of
needs will be posted on our blog and I will mark off items as they are
purchased. This activity is optional. If you are unable to give a gift,
one will
be provided for your child to give. Everyone
will get to be Santa!
